Link now fixed. The missing smwdm.sys is INCLUDED IN THE ZIP FILE. You may need to point the installer at it.
Posted by ian on Monday, February 16, 2009 at 16:43
I've deleted the old link to dynamiclink, as it was requesting people pay and didn't seem to give them the file even if they did pay! As mentioned, if anyone else has smwdm.sys let us know.
Posted by ian on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 14:46
If anyone does get a copy of smwdm.sys then please mail it to nik [at] 64bitdrivers.com and we will be happy to host it here. cheers.

I uploaded the missing file. It can only be downloaded 10 times, so someone please transfer to it somewhere permanent.

my device is on a notebook and is definitely plugged in. it won't start. there is no option to enable/disable any HD in the bios.
Posted by Sean on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 23:12
I had these messages, until I rembered to plug in the sound card!!! For those of you having this problem that have ASUS board with the sound codec on the daughter card, try plugging it in and enableing it in the BIOS. You may also may have to disable and renable the HD audio in the BIOS several times to get it to work.

heh, ok, if you like, register on the top of the page and then post a request, which will bring you to the attention of ppl who are more able to deal with your problem. You will also receive an email whenever a message is posted. I'm guessing the prob might be that you are using xp x64 rather than vista in regard to the realtek driver.

Sorry but the Realtek AC'97 audio codec for x64 driver does not work for me. First it says the ktkvac64.sys file is missing, and when I import it from the SoundMAX audio codec for Vista x64 drivers, it says that my "device cannot start" (code 10).
:(
Posted by ian on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 10:11
angry guy, i'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but we also have listed a realtek ac97 for vista x64: Realtek AC'97 audio codec for x64

my apologies to all. i was pissed off that the file was missing and that there were links to pay sites to retrieve it. i really thought it was a scam.

Weird, the link wasnt working, opened in new window... kept refreshing and now I have my drivers...weird

If you really don't trust us angry guy, this is the link that we are connecting to: http://dlsvr02.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/A8Jr/AUDIO_Vista64_07091...

As you can see, an ASUS domain... The reason we connect to the site using PHP is for a couple of reasons, 1) the download may no longer be present, and 2) that some sites have protection from 3rd party redirects-- therefore we connect to a 'referring' site beforehand, usually their home page, set the necessary cookies and then proceed to stream the download.

I'm sorry you can't get the download to work, but I believe that many other people have (otherwise we would have got more -ive feedback for this download). If you let us know your sys config then maybe we can be of help, or alternatively post a 'request' and we'll try find the most appropriate driver for you.

it does not fix anything. this driver is incomplete and is only here to advertise for a paying scam site.
Posted by ian on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 09:14
angry guy, if you don't like the site, we're really not forcing you to use it. If users get the '\Audio_Vista64_070912\amd64\Vista\smwdm.sys' missing message during install, (as noted below) goto http://www.dynamiclink.nl/htmfiles/rframes/info_sys/info_s/1... to download it separately.

I hope that fixes at least one of your problems angry guy, though I can't guarantee that it will fix all of them :D

ridiculous. any monkey can post link to an asus website. again, i confirm this is a scam. the driver does not work. smwdm.sys is missing. this is a waste of time.
Posted by ian on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 10:43
In response to the 'scam' messages I left them just to reassure anyone downloading the link that it is not 'a scam' but in fact a link to a genuine rar file.

Not nice, finally found out my ISP is blocking that site and used another one to find it's a pay site.

Link works again.
Posted by Guest on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 08:02
Sorry to be a pain the link is down and has been for many attempts, do you have a different one?
Posted by waughd on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 02:45
During install it comes up with \Audio_Vista64_070912\amd64\Vista\smwdm.sys is missing. Any ideas how to fix this?
